We stopped here on a trip to Virginia. It was 6 miles off the interstate buy worth every mile. The Sunday buffet was one of the best I've eaten at. I highly recommend you stopping here. It will be on our stops for future trips. Fried chicken is amazing.
Overview
Walking into Brickhouse Grill & Catering feels like stepping into a neighborhood spot that already knows you. The smell of smoked meats hits first, followed by the low hum of conversation and the clatter of plates coming off the pass. I stopped in during a busy lunch rush after a local contractor mentioned it as his go-to for quick, filling meals, and it immediately made sense why this place has built such a loyal following around 455 Corban Ave SE, Concord, NC 28025, United States.
The menu leans into classic American comfort food with a Southern edge. Think burgers stacked high, barbecue plates that donβt skimp, and sides that feel like they came straight from a family reunion. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich with house-made slaw, and the meat was tender enough to pull apart with a fork. One of the cooks mentioned they smoke pork low and slow for several hours, a process backed by well-known barbecue techniques recommended by the National Barbecue Association, which emphasizes steady temperature control for flavor and safety. According to USDA and CDC guidelines, properly smoked meats should reach an internal temperature of at least 145Β°F for whole cuts and higher for pulled meats, and Brickhouse clearly takes that seriously.
What stood out most was consistency. A friend of mine used Brickhouse Grill & Catering for a small office catering order last fall. The setup was simple, trays labeled clearly, and everything arrived hot and on time. That kind of reliability matters, especially when feeding a group. Catering clients often care less about flashy presentation and more about food that travels well and keeps its texture, and this kitchen seems to understand that balance. Their catering process focuses on batch cooking and insulated transport, a method commonly used in professional kitchens to maintain food quality during delivery.
Reviews from locals echo similar experiences. Many mention friendly staff who remember repeat customers and are quick to recommend favorites. One regular told me the daily specials are worth asking about because they often feature seasonal items or smaller-batch dishes. That kind of flexibility is something restaurant consultants often praise; the National Restaurant Association notes that menus with rotating specials can boost customer satisfaction and reduce food waste.
The dining area itself is casual and unpretentious. Youβll see families, solo diners, and work crews grabbing a fast bite. The location is easy to get to, with straightforward parking, which sounds minor but makes a difference during peak hours. From a practical standpoint, that accessibility supports steady foot traffic, something small independent diners rely on to stay sustainable.
There are a few limitations worth noting. Seating can feel tight during lunch, and if youβre in a hurry, calling ahead for takeout is smart. Also, while the menu covers a wide range of tastes, vegetarians may find fewer options compared to meat lovers. That said, the kitchen is usually accommodating if you ask about substitutions.
Overall, the experience feels genuine. The food reflects time-tested cooking methods, the service shows pride in the work, and the atmosphere invites you back without trying too hard. Whether youβre scanning reviews for a dependable lunch spot, checking out locations for casual dining, or planning a no-stress catering order, this Concord diner delivers exactly what it promises: hearty food, honest flavors, and a sense of local connection thatβs hard to fake.

The 1st time I tried this local, home cooked buffet. Senior pricing available. Family owned & operated. We will be back! We went cos they had my favorites... pot roast, Brunswick stew, strawberry cake. Menu changes every day, they do post it on facebook!
Dropped in for the breakfast bar today. I wanted to try something new to me in the area. Breakfast was great! First time coming today and I see this as a spot to return. Enjoyed the food, service, fellow customers, and Drew and the rest of the staff. Thanks guys. If yall are driving by on social media, hop in the car and drive over for good eats at a great place and price.
The food was great. The service was wonderful! The two girls checked on us multiple times and our drinks stayed full. These two girls are there often when we are and they are always great! I wish every restaurant had waitresses like them!
Good southern hospitality! We love Brickhouse Grill & Catering! We eat here at least twice a month and sometimes weekly. Their bbq is delicious and moist with a smoky flavor. Their fried chicken is some of the best Iβve ever tasted. Seriously, I crave the chicken throughout the week. Service is excellent. They keep your cups filled and dirty dishes prebussed. The owner is so friendly and always checks on the customers personally. Highly recommend!! If you want good old-fashioned southern cooking, this is your place!
Had the opportunity to have lunch for a private event at Brickhouse Grill, and have to say I was very impressed. The buffet was amazing for our company lunch and the staff and team there went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. Will definitely be back with my family.
Brick house Grill has a wonderful atmosphere, good food and excellent service. The owners are very nice and their kids, who often work as servers, are extremely kind, polite, and respectful.
